ACE ex-chief Hussain Asghar to be appointed NAB deputy chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Anti-Corruption Establishment former chief Hussain Asghar will be appointed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) deputy chairman. NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had recommended the appointment of Hussain Asghar. President Dr Arif Alvi will approve his appointment today. On the order of the Supreme Court, Hussain Asghar had conducted investigations into the Pakpattan land case. In the investigation report, Nawaz Sharif was held responsible for the allotment of land. “Nawaz Sharif had allotted the land as the chief minister,” the report stated. Hussain Asghar had also investigated the Hajj corruption case during the PPP tenure. He has also served as Inspector General of Police Gilgit-Baltistan and FIA additional director general.
