Another bombshell as NEPRA approves increase of Rs5.75 per unit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Electronic Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) dropped another bombshell on the masses by according an approval to further increase of Rs5.75 per unit in the power tariff.

According to the NEPRA statement, the decision to increase the power tariff has been sent to federal government.

After the approval of the government, the basic power tariff will increase to Rs35.05 from Rs29.78 per unit. The new tariff will be applicable from July 1 if the government accords the approval.
