Anti-polio drops: Protesters go berserk as kids’ condition ‘worsens’

PESHAWAR (92 News) – Protesters stormed hospital and broke doors after condition of over 50 children allegedly deteriorated after being administered anti-polio drops in Mashokhel area on Monday. After the rampage, the protesters set hospital building ablaze. The protesters alleged that the condition of children had deteriorated after they were administered anti-polio drops. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan have taken notice of the incident and sought a report in this regard. KPk Health Minister Hisham Inamullah said that the condition of all children is better now. “Action will be taken against those torching Basic Health Unit,” he said. He said that no one would be allowed to take the law into his hands. “The accused will be arrested after identification,” he said.
