ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The three-member judicial commission formed to investigate the audio leaks issue also objected to the Supreme Court bench on Wednesday.

The inquiry commission headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa, in its reply, stated that the commission was assigned the responsibility under the law. "The commission will perform its duty as per law and the constitution. The court stayed the proceedings without hearing the commission," it stated.

The commission said that they had already clarified that the commission proceedings should not be considered as the proceedings of the Supreme Judicial Commission.

The inquiry commission also objected to the formation of the five-member bench. "The matter of the bench formation had not been put before the judges' committee. The five-member bench headed by the chief justice should not hear the case. The proceedings should be deferred till the formation of the new bench," it demanded.
