Banks, stock exchange to remain closed on Tuesday

KARACHI (92 News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and commercial banks will remain closed on Tuesday.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on September 17, 2024 (Tuesday) due to a public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awal, 1446 A.H.),” the SBP said in a circular.

The PSX already declared that it would remain closed on September 17. The federal government on September 6 issued a notification declaring September 17 to be a public holiday.

Faithful across the country will celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on Rabiul Awwal 12, known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi, falling on September 17, 2024.
