ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan cannot tolerate cross-border terrorism now.

Addressing a meeting of the federal cabinet on Wednesday, he said that the soil of a neighbouring country was being used for terrorism against Pakistan.

He expressed the resolve to bring the country out of the quagmire of loans. "The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has asked to increase taxes. We will have to end our luxurious lifestyle. We will reduce the expenditures of the government," he added.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the government would abolish unnecessary departments. "During the last government, we saved the country by sacrificing our politics. Now no one can stop us from making progress," he added.

He said that the government would try to get minimum loan in future and would gradually get rid of the loan. "There is need of investment to get rid of loans. We will end the gas and electricity theft of Rs400-500 per annum," he added.

He resolved to deal with the gas and electricity thieves with an iron hand.
