ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The first court established under the Official Secret Act remanded PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for four days in the cipher case on Monday.

Judge Abu Al-Hasnat Zulqarnain announced the reserved verdict. The FIA had demanded his 13-day remand.

The prosecutor told court that the accused should be remanded in the FIA custody as it had to recover the cipher document.

Shoaib Shaheen, counsel for the accused, opposed the remand.

Junior lawyers and irrelevant persons were asked to leave the court as the hearing was conducted in-camera.
