October 21, 2018
LAHORE (92 News) – The Clean and Green Punjab programme is continued from October 1, 2018. The district government launched an operation at Piran Ghaib Road in Multan. During the operation, the governmental land has been vacated and illegal encroachment demolished and retrieved state land throughout Multan division. The resistance came across between the businessman and the administrations. However, the cleanliness of villages, tree plantation and anti encroachment drive would be the main features of the campaign. After a survey an anti-encroachment drive would also be launched in villages. Earlier, Multan Commissioner Nadeem Irshad Kiyani directed deputy commissioners not to cause financial losses to poor handcart vendors and expand the scope of anti-encroachment operations in their respective districts with particular focus on influential persons occupying state land illegally. The poor handcart vendors be provided alternate space, commissioner said in a meeting to review the progress on the anti-encroachment drive. He directed DCs of Multan, Lodhran, Vehari and Khanewal to themselves supervise the anti-encroachment operations and take action against big 'Qabza Mafia' without being influenced by any political pressure, says an official release issued here.
