CNS Naveed Ashraf, Qatari military leaders discuss regional maritime security

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf called on the Qatari Forces Chief of Staff and Commander Qatari Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) during his visit to Qatar on Saturday.

During the meetings, defence relations, bilateral naval cooperation, matters of mutual interest and regional maritime security were discussed.

The Naval Chief visited the Mohammed bin Ghanim Al Ghanim Naval Academy, Umm Al Houl Naval Base and Qatari Emiri Navy ships. He was briefed about the capability of the Qatari Navy.

The CNS highlighted the role of Pakistan Navy for regional maritime peace and stability through participation in Combined Maritime Forces. The host authorities appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in ensuring maritime security of the region.

The Naval Chief’s visit will further promote the defence relations between the two countries in general and between the naval forces in particular.
