COAS Asim Munir to meet US senior military, govt officials during first official visit

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), on Sunday left for the United States of America (USA) on an official visit.

This is General Syed Asim Munir’s first visit to USA as COAS.

During his visit, General Syed Asim Munir is scheduled to meet the senior military and other government officials of the USA.

US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West said that the visit of COAS Asim Munir holds strategic importance. "America is standing with Pakistan in the war against terrorism in the region," he added.
