Constitution will have to be abolished for presidential system: Khurshid Shah
SUKKUR (92 News) – PPP leader Khurshid Shah has said that the constitution will have to be abolished for the presidential system.
Talking to the media on Sunday, he challenged those wishing for the presidential system to make an effort if they have power.
“The opposition has not created any hurdle to amend the NAB laws. We want an amendment not clashing with the constitution,” he added. “We are protesting in the parliament.”
Khurshid Shah said that the federation had given Sindh Rs120 billion less than the approved amount. “As a result, progress in the province has stopped. We fear stoppage of the salaries of the government employees in the province,” he said.
He said that Sindh was unable to purchase wheat from farmers due to lack of funds. “A lot of people from interior Sindh are also benefitting from Sukkur Civil Hospital. It is just 200-bed hospital and was constructed when the city has population of 40,000 citizens,” he said.
Khurshid Shah said that Civil Hospital had only 41 doctors, which was insufficient. “We are also establishing a Mother and Child Unit in hospital,” he said.
