Contempt of court case: GB former chief judge Rana Shamim tenders unconditional apology

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Gilgit Baltistan former chief judge Rana Shamim tendered an unconditional apology in the contempt of court case on Saturday.

As per details, Rana Shamim has filed a new unconditional apology in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in which he retracted the words in the affidavit.

In the one-page apology, he stated that the name of the High Court judge was mistakenly included in the affidavit. “I withdraw the text of my affidavit. I apologize unconditionally for my false affidavit and leave myself at the mercy of the court. The judge's name was included in the affidavit dated November 10, 2021 due to a misunderstanding,” he maintained.
