Council of Islamic Ideology declares subsidy on Hajj legal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has declared the subsidy announced by the government on Hajj as legal.
The announcement was made during a two-day meeting of the CII that concluded on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, CII Chairman Qibla Ayaz said that interest and the ‘Madina State’ cannot go side by side. “We will send a script to the government suggesting how a welfare state is established,” he announced.
He said that they are considering declaring three ‘talaqs’ at a time as a cognizable offence. “However, divorce is applicable by giving three ‘talaqs’ at a time.”
“We will discuss the agenda pertaining to prohibiting liquor in the next meeting,” the CII chairman said.
Qibla Ayaz said that they had prepared a comprehensive report regarding interest.
About the Madina-like state, Qibla Ayaz said that the government should establish a task force. “The CII has formed a working group for the characteristics of the state,” he said.
He also expressed grief over the Sahiwal incident.
