Dollar loses 42 paisa against rupee in interbank, closes at Rs284.75

ISLAMABAD (APP) - US dollar on Friday lost 42 paisa against Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 284.75 against the previous day’s closing at Rs 285.16.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 285.35 and Rs 287.9 respectively.

Meanwhile, the 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed an increase of 1,060 points and crossed the limit of 61,590 points.

On the other hand, the per tola price of 24-karat gold witnessed a decrease of Rs500 on Friday and was sold at Rs220,500 against its sale at Rs221,000 the last trading day.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karat also decreased by Rs429 to Rs189,043 from Rs 189,472 whereas that of and 10 gram 22 Karat gold declined to Rs173,290 from Rs173,683.

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs2,620 and Rs2,246.21 respectively. However, the price of gold in the international market decreased by US$4 to US$2,060 from US$2,064.
