ECP expedites preparations for general elections scheduled for Feb 8

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday expedited the preparations for the general elections scheduled for February 8.

The officials have started transporting the election material to cities. According to sources, printing of ballot papers for over 85% constituencies has been completed and the printing of other ballot papers will be completed by Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Karachi commissioner has directed the deputy commissioners and returning officers not to allow leaves to the staffers.

On the other hand, the ECP has intensified action against violation of the code of conduct. It fined candidates besides summoning them for the violation of the code of conduct.
