Elections will be held on Feb 8 at all costs, declares CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Election Commissioner Siknadar Sultan Raja has categorically declared that the elections will be held on February 8 at all costs and no one should have suspicion about it.

Talking to the media on Friday, he said that the Pak Army will deal with those who tried to disrupt the elections with an iron hand. "Mobile service can be disrupted in some areas. EMS offline system will be made operational if the authorities faced the internet issue," he announced.

He said that no negligence would be tolerated in the elections process. "All parties are equal for the commission. The PTI lawyers failed to provide evidence about lack of level-playing field," he added.

On the other hand, the ECP has expedited the preparations for the elections across the country. In Chakwal, the election material has been shifted.

Caretaker Interior Minister said that complete security would be provided for the peaceful elections. "There is no possibility of the postponement of the elections," he declared.
