ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan expressed its satisfaction over the fact-finding committee appointed by the government in the Faizabad sit-in case.

During the hearing on Wednesday, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that the court had asked as who was responsible for the Faizabad sit-in. "The government has formed a committee whose no terms of reference was right. It wants that action should not be taken against anyone after holding all people responsible for the sit-in," he observed.

The CJP remarked the country was taken hostage after importing a person from abroad and he later returned. "The country suffered a loss of billions of rupees, but the government does not bother about it. However, it will not work now. Courts are not only to play with them," he observed.

Addressing the PEMRA chairman, the CJP said that the review petition carries only his signatures, which reflects that the decision to file the petition was made by the PEMRA chief.

Justice Athar Minallah remarked that a thorough probe should be held into the matter.
