Fawad says political careers of Nawaz, Zardari ended

JEHLUM (92 News) – Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday has said that the political careers of former premier Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari have been ended. While addressing a ceremony inaugural ceremony of tree plantation in connection with the International Forest Day, Fawad Ch said that the saplings will be planted on thirty-five acres land recently retrieved from land grabbers. The information minister said that corruption was made even in forests in past. He also said that the federal government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has changed policies of the country for the next 40 years. Chaudhry termed that Prime Minister Imran Khan raised voice for the beautification of cities and the country which was first of its kind in Pakistan. He said that the government had launched a crackdown against extremism. “Only two families made progress in Pakistan. The country was on the decline and they were progressing,” he said. Criticising the opposition leaders, Fawad Chaudhry mentioned that the political career of Nawaz and Zardari have been ended and their children have decided to launch movement to save their fathers. He added that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari have not even spared trees. The information minister said that he understood the anxiety of daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, as they were unable to move abroad. The minister said that the two families had no place in the politics of the country and their future is as dark as their present. “Let Zardari and Bilawal do what they want and they will know the real situation in 7-8 months,” he said. Civil-military leadership on same page “Pakistan’s future is now in safe hands while the civil-military leadership is also on the same page. We are on same book and page,” the federal minister said. He further said Pakistan will never allow India to take action against any group or individual on its soil Responding to Samjhauta Express verdict in which main accused of 2007 bombings case acquitted, the minister said that release he termed the verdict as a slap on the face of justice and law. He said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was promoting extremism in India while terrorists had also been released by New Delhi in past.
Police displayed tolerance despite being attacked: Fawad Ch
On Wednesday, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said that the police displayed tolerance despite being attacked by the PPP workers outside the NAB office. Talking to the media, he said that a few dozen people were called on five tongas for attacking the police outside the NAB office. The minister asked the PPP to apologize to the nation. “We want understanding, but it does not mean the accountability process should stop,” he said. “The corrupt people will have to face the cases,” he said.
