Federal finance minister will make people-friendly decisions for economic improvement: Maryam

LAHORE (92 News) - Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed the economic situation and issues of mutual interest. The minister congratulated Maryam Nawaz Sharif on assuming the office of the chief minister.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that the finance minister was expected to take people-friendly decisions for economic improvement. "We will jointly steer the country out of economic problems," she added.

She expressed her best wishes to Muhammad Aurangzeb on assuming the portfolio of the Finance Ministry.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the election of Maryam Nawaz Sharif as Punjab's first female chief minister is a milestone. "Maryam Nawaz's social welfare initiatives are very good," he added.

Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, former senator Pervez Rasheed were also present.
