ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Wing has started investigations into a propaganda video uploaded in the name of Sheikh Mujeebur Rahman on Imran Khan's official Twitter handle.

The video, which was posted on May 26, has been deemed fake and aimed at spreading propaganda.

According to sources, the FIA will question four individuals including Imran Khan, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and PTI spokesman Rauf Hassan, to determine the facts about the uploaded video. The agency will also investigate who created and disseminated the anti-Pakistan propaganda and who was behind it.

According to sources, legal action will be taken against the account holder if he is found to be involved in the episode. However, he will be required to submit a written application to block his Twitter account, which was used illegally, if he is found not guilty.

This development emerged as the PTI founder remains in Adiala Jail. The FIA investigation is being seen as a significant move to curb propaganda and disinformation on social media platforms.
