FM Bilawal Bhutto meets Antony Blinken, discuss bilateral relations

WASHINGTON (92 News) - Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Discussed the Pak-US relations and the situation in the region.

Bilawal Bhutto also informed about the flood disasters in Pakistan. The US Secretary of State expressed regret over the floods.

FM Bilawal Bilawal Zardari has said that Pakistan wants US help and cooperation in climate change justice.

Addressing a joint press conference with his American counterpart Antony Blinken in Washington, he said that Pakistan is facing a huge natural calamity and disaster which has affected millions of people across the country.

He said that Pakistan is among the ten countries most affected by climate change. Hundreds of Green Revolution projects can be launched with US support. he added.

The foreign minister said that Pakistan's share in greenhouse gas emissions is less than 0.8 percent.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured all possible cooperation with Pakistan and announced another 10 million dollars in aid for Pakistan under the title of food security. He said that America has so far provided 55 million dollars for flood victims in Pakistan.

Antony Blinken said that the United States stands with the flood victims in their time of need and will continue to help them.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari thanked the US for helping the flood victims.
