Pre-budget relief: Govt reduces petrol price by Rs 8 per litre

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal government has reduced the prices of petroleum products for next fortnight to provide a relief to the masses before the fixal budget 2023-24.

According to the announcement, the per litre prices of petrol and high-speed diesel have been slashed by Rs 8 and Rs5. After the decrease, the petrol and high-speed diesel prices have been fixed at Rs262 and Rs253 respectively.

Similarly, the price of light-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 5 per litre while price of kerosene oil will remain unchanged. The light-speed diesel will be available at Rs 164.07 per litre.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the government had reduced the petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs 20 and Rs 35 respectively. He said that neither the petrol prices have not been changed at the international level nor any increase has been made in the price of rupee.
