Govt imposed more taxes on the rich to give a relief to the poor: Ayesha Ghaus Pasha

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - State Minister for Finance Ayesha Ghaus Pasha said that the government had imposed more taxes on the rich to give a relief to the poor.

Expressing her views on Friday, she said that the government had tried to create a trend to attract the people to productive from non-productive.

She urged the exporters to increase the export with regard to numbers. "The IMF has not objected to the increase in the salaries," she added.

FBR Chairman Asim Ahmed said that the government had imposed new taxes of Rs355 billion. "Taxes will be imposed on real estate, farm houses unused land," he added.

He said that the tax will also be imposed on the people having high income.
