Gujranwala ATC awards five-year sentence each to 51 accused involved in May 9 incidents

GUJRANWALA (92 News) - An anti-terrorism court awarded five-year sentence each to 51 accused involved in arson and attacks on sensitive installations on May 9.

The judge conducted the hearing in Central Jail. Security was put at high alert ahead of the hearing.

In the attacks on May 9, 10 policemen, including an ASP, were injured and a citizen was murdered. Four vehicles were also damaged during the attack.

The case was registered on the complaint of Cantonment SHO Mudassar Butt. The police had arrested 51 accused. Several nominated accused, including leaders, are on bails.
