Hammad Azhar alleges Ishaq Dar for destroying country’s economy

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – State Minister for revenue Hammad Azhar alleged that former finance minister Ishaq Dar misguided the public regarding economic affairs and destroyed the country’s economy. Addressing a press conference, the minister said that no difference between the case of former president Asif Ali Zardari, Omni Group and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif. He also asserted that the incumbent government will not give any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to the opposition even due to their hue and cry. Hammad Azhar termed that they will decrease the prices of medicines more than the hike in prices by pharmaceutical companies. He also claimed to bring out the country’s economy from the ICU [crisis] successfully. Azhar said inflation had crossed 10 per cent during the tenure of former Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government, accusing former finance minister Ishaq Dar of not only lying to the nation, but to his party leadership as well. He said that Ishaq Dar did not explain the drop in the country’s stocks between May 2017 and May 2018. The government will not give any kind of NRO, you may do whatever you wish,” he said. He accepted that inflation rose during the incumbent government’s rule, adding that this was less than the inflation rise in the initial time of previous governments.
