KARACHI (92 News) - Former president Asif Zardari has said that he wished Imran Khan would have thought about the rights of journalists in his tenure.

During a meeting with the Sindh ministers on Saturday, he said that Imran Khan's tenure was black one with regard to independence of journalism.

"The relations between political parties and the establishment made progress. Imran Khan entangled the country in crises. The coalition government and institutions will have to steer the country out of crisis," he maintained.

He said that the PPP had always given independence to journalists and would continue to give freedom to journalists in future.

Asif Zardari said that the objective of all is the progress of the country and strengthening of democracy. "We have learnt a lot from time," he added.
