Iddat case: Court reserves verdict on applications for suspension of sentence until June 27

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The district and sessions court on Tuesday reserved the verdict on the applications seeking suspension of sentence awarded to the PTI founder and his wife in the Iddat case.
The verdict will be announced on June 27.
Zahid Asif advocate, counsel for the complainant, contended that the sections 496, 494 and 495 also apply to the case as the applicants had not informed about the marriage as per nikkahnama.
Barrister Salman Safdar, counsel for the accused, contended that setting aside all matters, Bushra Bibi being a woman is enough for suspension of the sentence.
