SRINAGAR (92 News) – In Indian-held Jammu Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism have martyred eight Kashmiri youth during cordon and search operation in Laroo area of Kulgam. Local Police said that the operation was jointly carried out by Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group creating a very tense situation for locals. During the operation, the youth were martyred and the occupying forces also destroyed a house. Further, the killing led to massive anti-India protests in the area. Dozens of civilians were injured in the forces’ firing on the protesters. Meanwhile, two Indian army soldiers were injured when unidentified persons hurled a grenade and then opened fire on an army patrolling party in Pathan area of Pulwama district. Authorities have suspended internet services and imposed curfew-like restrictions in the district. Earlier this year, in June, a United Nations report accused India of having used excessive force in occupied Kashmir to martyr and wound civilians since 2016, as it called for an international inquiry into the accusations of rights violations.
