Iranian FM in Pakistan to hold talks with Pakistani leadership

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has arrived in Pakistan to hold talks with Pakistani leadership on the entire gamut of bilateral relations. During his stay, he will hold talks with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. He will also call on Prime Minister Imran Khan. It is pertinent to mention here that the Iranian foreign minister Zarif marked his second visit during the newly-elected Pakistani Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) governemnt. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived at the Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) Wednesday morning.   Earlier on August 31, the Iranian foreign minister visited Pakistan when he and PM Imran Khan had discussed matters related to bilateral relations and regional security. The prime minister had said that the two countries enjoy historical and religious ties and that the people of both nations needed to extend cooperation in different fields. Zarif had also met Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Jawed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi where the two talked regional security and matters of mutual interest.
