Ishaq Dar takes oath as senator amid opposition's protest

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister-designate Ishaq Dar took the oath as senator on Tuesday.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani administered oath to the finance minister. During the oath-taking ceremony, the opposition members gathered before the dais and chanted slogans against the government.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Ishaq Dar said that the government wouldn't allow any illegal activity of 'hundi' and 'satta'.
"The artificial depreciation of the rupee is the biggest challenge for me. Inflation and utility prices are challenges as well. We will try our best to reduce the problems of the masses. The dollar price has reduced by Rs9 since yesterday. It means the nation's loans worth Rs1,350 billion have reduced," he added.
