Jamaat-e-Islami postpones scheduled tomorrow’s sit-in to July 26

LAHORE (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday postponed the scheduled tomorrow’s sit-in to July 26.

Talking to the media, JI ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the protest would be lodged with more public might on July 26. “Only peaceful political resistance yields fruits. Our announcement to stage the sit-in is a symbol of peace and political struggle,” he added.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the government is charging tax on basic necessities. “The salaried class is crying over the unbearable inflation and hefty power bills,” he added.
