RAWALPINDI (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami continued its sit-in against inflation and hefty utility bills for the 12th consecutive day.

Addressing the participants of the sit-in on Tuesday, JI ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the government committee was missing for the last few days as it was not holding talks with them.

“The government should adopt the democratic attitude. The government and the elite should reduce their expenditures. Everything could happen if the government functionaries start using 1300CC vehicles,” he maintained.

Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami continued its sit-in in Karachi. Addressing the participants, Manam Zafar said that K-Electric was sucking the blood of citizens. “About 13 taxes have been levied in the power bills. We are not only fighting the case of the people here, but also in the NEPRA,” he added.
