Japanese Naval ship arrives Karachi for maritime exercise
KARACHI (92 News) – Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force ship IKAZUCHI arrived Karachi Port on Thursday to take part in multi-national maritime exercise.
According to a Pakistan Navy spokesman, during the visit, officers of both the countries’ navies held a meeting and different training sessions were also organized for staff of the ship.
He said at the end of the tour, both the countries’ naval ships will take part in joint naval exercises.
A day earlier, Pakistan Navy Coastal Command Annual Efficiency Competition Parade was held at PNS QASIM, Manora. Addressing the ceremony, Admiral Zafar Mehmood highlighted that Coastal Command of Pakistan Navy has been entrusted with the onerous task of safeguarding the Coast from Sir Creek to Jiwani, under challenging internal and external security situation and harsh topographic environment.
