JIT completes probe into 14 cases of May 9 tragedy, declares PTI chairman guilty

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The joint investigation team (JIT) on Tuesday completed the probe into 14 cases of the May 9 tragedy.

According to sources, the JIT has declared the PTI chairman guilty in 10 cases on the basis of the statements and

The challan of the main case (96/23) against the PTI chairman comprises of 2,000 pages. It contains over 400 proofs of social media.

The conspiracy, according to sources, was visible from the statements of 80 accused directly involved in the Jinnah House attack case. The statements of the PTI chairman were found in contradiction with the conditions.

The PTI chairman was also found guilty on the basis of concrete evidence in nine other cases. The challan of 14 cases will be submitted to court soon.

Meanwhile, sections of the Official Secret Act and others have been included in the May 9 attack on the office of a secret agency in Faisalabad. The PTI chairman has been nominated in the case registered at Civil Lines police station. About 100 people, including PTI leaders Furrukh Habib, Dr Nisar Jatt, Nadeem Aftab Sindhu, were nominated in the case.

On the other hand, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore has started proceedings to declare PTI leaders Aslam Iqbal, Jamshed Cheema, Musarrat Cheema and Ghulam Abbas as proclaimed offenders. According to the police, the accused are deliberately hiding in fear of being arrested.
