Pakistan has succeeded in getting Kashmiris’ power of attorney from China: FM
MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the Kashmiris are celebrating Eid under a stringent curfew.
Addressing a ceremony on Eidul Azha, he said that Pakistan has succeeded in getting power of attorney for contesting the case of Kashmiris from China. “The Kashmir dispute had been sacrificed for either trade or aid during the last three decades,” he maintained.
The foreign minister said that the government is contesting the Kashmir case at each level. “India is angry at the statement of US President Donald Trump.”
He said that India should prove how the Kashmir dispute is their internal matter. “It is the case of Kashmir, not a region.”
Earlier addressing a press conference, FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan is successfully moving forward in highlighting the Kashmir issue which has been accepted as controversial at the international level. “The struggle of Kashmiris has entered an important phase,” he said.
The minister said that Pakistan is striving to present the Kashmir issue in the United Nations Security Council. “China has expressed solidarity with Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. We should show unity ignoring political interests,” he said.
He announced that a rally will be organized in Islamabad on August 14. “Prime Minister Imran Khan met world leaders to clarify Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir,” he said.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they had decided to review all agreements with India. “The world is watching Indian atrocities and violations of human rights. We want to keep the Kashmir issue away from politics,” he said.
He said that Kashmiris have rejected the Indian unconstitutional act.
