Key points of proposed constitutional amendment bill revealed

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The key points of the constitutional amendment billproposed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government in the centre have been revealed.

The key points cover several critical areas, including the establishment of a constitutional court, procedure for the appointment and removal of judges, and process for the transfer of High Court judges.

The amendment bill also proposes amending Article 184(3) concerning suo motu notice, merging the Judicial Commission and the Parliamentary Committee to form a new committee, and amending Article 181 to facilitate the appointment of ad-hoc judges.
