Long power shutdown makes life a hell in sweltering heat

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Long power shutdown has made the life a hell in the sweltering heat.

People told 92 News that up to 12-hour shutdown is being observed in the urban areas, while it was 16 hours in the rural area. They said that the long shutdown had badly affected business activities.

Farmers are badly affected by the long loadshedding as crops can be destroyed due to unavailability of water.

Owing to the long showdown, several cities are facing scarcity of water.

According to the Power Division, the electricity shortfall has reached 6,865 megawatts. Overall power generation in the country is 19,135 megawatts, while demand is 26,000 megawatts.
