KARACHI (92 News) – Using unfair means and cheating in annual secondary school examinations is on the rise in Sindh. At some place, the question papers were leaked, while cheating continued through smart phones and unchecked use of books. Students used a WhatsApp group to facilitate cheating. A youth was also caught while taking exam in place of a student. The uncontrolled cheating in a majority of centres belied the claims of the Sindh government. Moreover, solved papers were also available in the market. Despite the imposition of section-144 in the province, the administration has failed to halt cheating and mismanagement at the centers in various cities of Sindh. On the other hand, the ‘booti mafia’ has also stepped up as the matric exams kicked off in Sindh leaking the paper of ninth grade with the connivance of staff. Reports of rampant cheating in the matriculation exams conducted by Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Larkana outside examination centers in Jacobabad were also received.
