ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of the jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, has demanded that India should allow her along with her 12-year-old daughter Raziyah Sultana a safe entry to meet her husband in Tihar Jail as per rules under the Geneva Convention on the Rights of Prisoners.

In a video message on Saturday, she said that the family has been forcefully divided for almost 10 years and has not seen each other since then.

She urged the United Nations, world bodies and the Government of Pakistan to look into this grave human rights violation and put pressure on India to guarantee a safe and secure meeting with him in Tihar Jail’s death cell in Delhi, India.

“The Indian kangaroo courts have unilaterally given life imprisonment to Yasin Malik in fraudulent cases to suppress the legitimate voice of Kashmiris right to self-determination. Now the Government of India is seeking death penalty on fictitious cases to silence the most powerful voice of Kashmiris freedom under the Indian occupation. It has been two years since he has been charged life imprisonment without a fair trial, physical presence, counsel and legal access,” she added.
