Musharraf high treason case: SC declares LHC verdict as violation of law & constitution

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday declared the LHC verdict regarding the trial of the Musharraf high treason case as violation of the law and the constitution.

In the detailed verdict, it ruled that the LHC verdict was also violation of the SC. "Only the SC can hear the appeals against the judgment of the special court. The LHC has no power to hear the case pertaining the formation of the special court. The petitioner cannot approach the LHC by ignoring the relevant forum," it ruled.

The LHC had nullified the trial of the Musharraf high treason case by the special court.
