PML-N to file review petition against 62 (1)(f) verdict to get Nawaz Sharif's lifetime disqualification nullified

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), in an attempt to get PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif's lifetime disqualification nullified, has decided to file a review petition against the 62 (1)(f) verdict instead of Panama case.

The decision was made during a meeting of the PML-N chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday. Nawaz Sharif also attended the meeting through the video link.

According to the decision, an application will be filed to convert the lifetime disqualification of Nawaz Sharif into disqualification for five years. The decision has been made following an amendment to the law pertaining to the review petition against the verdicts of the Supreme Court.

PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal also attended the meeting.
