NEPRA approves further increase of Rs9.90 per unit in power tariff

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a further increase of Rs9.90 per unit in the power tariff.

After the increase, the consumers will be burdened with Rs133 billion in a month.

Meanwhile, K-Electric has increased the rate by Rs11.39 per unit. The increase has been approved under the fuel adjustment charges for the month of June. Owing to the increase, the consumers will be burdened with an extra amount of Rs22 billion.

However, the increase will not be applicable to the lifeline consumers.
