Nine killed, 258 houses destroyed in recent rains in Balochistan

QUETTA (92 News) - As many as nine people were killed and 258 houses destroyed during the recent rains across the country.

Several cities, including Quetta, Chaman, Bolan, Mastung and Naseerabad, Dalbandin and Chaghi, received incessant rains. A sandstorm hit Dalbandin and Chaghi before the rains.

The NDMA said that 1,040 houses were partially demolished in the rains, while 80 boats were destroyed completely.

On the other hand, several areas, including Larkana, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Nawabshah and Khairpur, received heavy rain. After the rain, low-lying areas drowned. The power supply to different areas was suspended due to the rain, which also caused damage to crops.
