Pakistan will no longer fight imposed war inside Pakistan: PM Imran Khan
“We have fought an imposed war inside our country at a very heavy cost of sweat, blood & eco. We shall not fight any such war again inside Pakistan,” the ISPR DG tweeted.
In another tweet by ISPR, PM Khan mentioned, “We are for peace beyond borders especially in Afghanistan. The prime minister travelled to Miranshah, accompanied by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, marking the start of his maiden visit of the newly merged tribal districts from North Waziristan.PM appreciated people of erstwhile FATA/ KP for courageously facing challenging & difficult times of terrorism. Earlier today upon his arrival to Miranshah, the prime minister was briefed on the security situation, ongoing stability operations, socio-economic projects and rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The military's spokesperson, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, added that the premier will later visit the Ghulam Khan trade terminal and will also address a jirga of local elders in Miranshah.
PM Khan is on his maiden visit of the newly merged tribal districts in North Waziristan. Officials say the premier is expected to announced a large package for the districts and will also announce the establishment of a major hospital and sports complex in Miranshah.
Seven districts of the erstwhile Fata were merged with KP in the wake of the 25th Constitutional amendment. This is the head of the government's first visit to the region after its merger with the province.
