Pakistani armed forces on alert despite calm along LoC: ISPR
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Pakistani armed forces continue to be on alert, and there have been no casualties on the Pakistan side at Line of Control (LoC) during the past 24 hours, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
According to the ISPR, after heavy exchange of fire between Friday and Saturday night, the situation is relatively calm along the Line of Control (LoC) with intermittent fire during last night in Nezapir, Jandrot and Baghsar sectors.
The ISPR said that the Pakistani armed forces befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing and targeted cross-border posts, adding, “Armed forces remain in state of alert and vigilance. There have been no casualties on Pakistan side during last 24 hours.
The funeral of Havaldar Abdul Rub – who was among the two soldiers martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian forces along the LoC – has been offered at his native town of Dera Ghazi Khan. The shaheed was buried with full military honours for his supreme sacrifice for defending the motherland at Nakyal sector.
Namaz-e-janaza of Naik Khurram will be offered in DG Khan later this evening, the ISPR statement added.
Two jawans among 4 martyred in Indian unprovoked firing at LoC
Two Pakistan Army jawans were martyred in Indian unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC). The martyred jawans include Havaldar Abdur Rab and Naik Khurram.
Abdur Rab, 31,was a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan. He is survived by a wife and two daughters. Naik Khurram, 31, was also a resident of Dera Ghazi Khan. He is survived by a wife and a daughter.

Moreover, two civilians were martyred and as many injured in the Indian unprovoked firing in Tatta Pani and Jadrot sectors. The injured were immediately shifted to Kotli.
The Pakistani armed forces also gave a befitting reply and destroyed several Indian army check-posts. As a result, nine Indian soldiers were killed and 32 others were injured.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy have been put on high alert to thwart Indian aggression.
