Pakistani celebrities took to Twitter to express concern over the situation in IoK and raised their voices against the Indian government’s move to take away the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. India has repealed articles 35A and 370 of its Constitution, revoking the special status granted to Indian-Administered Kashmir. Amidst the chaos, Pakistani celebrities such as Mawra Hocane, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Feroze Khan and others raised their concerns over the ongoing situation. They took to social media to condemn India’s actions. My thoughts are with #Kashmir. Praying for peace 🙏🏻 #KashmirNeedsAttention

Have we conveniently blocked what we don’t want to address? This is beyond lines drawn on sand, it’s about innocent lives being lost! Heaven is burning and we silently weep. #Istandwithkashmir #kashmirbleeds

The campaign was started following actor Hamza Abbasi, who urged Pakistani celebrities to talk about Kashmir. He requested his fellow artists to use their platforms to speak up against India’s recent human rights violations in Kashmir.Where is UNHRC? It’s inhumane. #Kashmir Do we live in such dark times ?Countless conventions to protect human lives? What about all the rights & rules we are taught in the books? Do they mean anything? #SaveLivesinKashmir #KashmirBleed @UN @UNICEF_Pakistan

Pak, Indian speak out against human rights violations in IoK
Following to Indian aggression in the IoK continues to shed blood of innocent civilians, many in Pakistan stepped forth on social media raising their voices in solidarity with the battered region. Subsequent to the voices of Kashmiris getting cancelled out by internet blockades in addition to all communication systems facing barricades, Pakistani social media users took charge to raise their voice in front of the world against the brutality taking innocent lives. Many users slammed Indian PM Narendra Modi’s government over the turmoil as #StandWithKashmir became one of the top Twitter trends in the region. No govt. has ever treated Kashmir like this. JK is an integral part of India, the people of Kashmir are our brothers & sisters.
Ex-CM's are under house arrest. If this is not "EMERGENCY" what is? Shame on the BJP Govt & our Godi Media for not standing up.#StandwithKashmir — Unicorn 💫 (@snapnchat) August 5, 2019
Strongly condemn this coward act of inhumanity and illness. World should open eyes and to stand with innocent kashmri people. #StandwithKashmir pic.twitter.com/2GBHnKkXaH

I strong reject, the new amendment in India's constitution to change Kashmir's territorial status. Kashmir is a disputed area between India, Pakistan and Kashmirs. This move will have sever implication and there would be more bloodshed. #KashmirParFinalFight#StandwithKashmir pic.twitter.com/z2cdnhmIOE

While Pakistanis raised their voices in support, many Indian were also quick to join them while calling their own country out for dehumanizing actions of their government.
What is the colour of shame? That's what I want to change my banner and profile pic to. #StandwithKashmir

On a softblocking spree today. I’ll admit I don’t know enough about the Kashmir issue to volunteer an informed political opinion, but if you think jeopardising the lives of innocent people is somehow for the greater good, I don’t need your bullshit on my timeline.

What #India is doing in #Kashmir is anti-democratic, dehumanising and pure colonialism. #StandwithKashmir pic.twitter.com/NkextqgFMV
