ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The joint session of the parliament was postponed due to ‘unavoidable circumstances’ on Thursday. President Dr Arif Alvi had to address the joint session on Friday. The joint session will be rescheduled later on. Sources in the Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs said that it had also been decided to postpone the National Assembly session starting from September 2. On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has condemned the postponing of the joint session of the parliament. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that the government wants to create a democratic and constitutional crisis by not convening the session.
