KARACHI (92 News) – Patients are paying the price for apathy of the Sindh government as doctors continued their strike for the third day across the province on Friday. They faced problems due to closure of OPDs and operation theatres in all major cities, including Karachi, Sukkur and Hyderabad. Citizens said that they could not afford costly private treatment and where thery should go. In Khairpur Nathan Shah, a two-year-old girl continued to wail for the treatment, but doctors did not respond. Later, her relatives staged a sit-in against the stubbornness of doctors. In Hyderabad, thousands of patients daily from far-flung areas visit hospital. Due to the strike, dozens of operations had to be postponed. Hospitals in Sanghar, Kashmore, Dadu and Tando Muhammad Khan gave a deserted look due to the strike. Citizens have appealed to the government to make alternate treatment arrangements for them due to the strike.
