People jubilant as govt reduces petrol price by Rs8 per litre

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - People felt a sigh of relief after the government reduced the petrol price by Rs8 per litre.

After the recent cut, the petrol price has been fixed at Rs259.34 per litre. Previously the petrol was sold at Rs 267.34 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the price of the high-speed diesel has been maintained at Rs 276.21. Moreover, the prices of the light-speed diesel and kerosene oil have also been maintained.

The new prices ar44e effective from January 16.

Meanwhile, the people have demanded the government take steps to reduce the skyrocketing prices of daily-use items.
