PM, Ch Shujaat discuss overall political situation
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office in Islamabad.
Matters of mutual interest, overall political situation, Pakistan-India tension and other issues were came under discussion during the meeting.
Ch Shujaat hails role of PM in Pak-India tension
In the wake of Pak-India escalation, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain hailed the role and decisions of Prime Minister Imran Khan and assured the premier of his party’s full support. Housing minister Tariq Bashir Cheema and PM’s special adviser on political affairs Naeemul Haq were also present in the meeting.PML-Q not to support any conspiracy against Punjab CM: Ch Shujaat
Speaking to the journalists along with Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq, Ch Shujaat denied an impression of differences between the coalition partners. He said that some people want to create differences between the two parties and spreading rumours about it.
The PML-Q leader further mentioned that the rumour-mongers will spread rumours, adding that they want to create differences in our ranks but the alliance of PML-Q and PTI will remain intact.
Ch Shujaat further clarified that no conspiracy being hatched against the Punjab chief minister and if someone will try to do so our party will not back them. “We will support the federal government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he added.
On the occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naeemul Haq said that the government’s alliance with the PML-Q is quite strong. The PM’s adviser said Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is playing a vital role in his position as the speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
Ch Shujaat announces support for Imran Khan in Centre, Punjab
Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has announced support for PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Centre and Punjab.
In a declaration after a meeting with Imran Khan ar Bani Gala on Monday, PML-Q president Ch Shujaat said that they have announced support for Imran Khan in the best interest of the country.
“It is need of the hour that Imran Khan should be supported,” he maintained. He said that the meeting with Imran Khan was held in pleasant environment.
